ASSISTANCE UNIT INTERPRETING AND CALL CENTER CONTINUES PROVIDING SERVICE…
The International Patient Assistance Unit Interpreting
and Call Center, in operation since 1 April 2017, can be reached by telephone at
the number +90 850 288 38 38.
The Call Center was established with a
view to helping overcome any language barriers that might be encountered, particularly
when seeking to access healthcare, by persons who come to Turkey within the
scope of health tourism, or by persons who become ill while in Turkey and
receive services within the scope of tourist health.
The International Patient Assistance Unit Interpreting
and Call Center provides consecutive interpreting for calls made in foreign
languages to the
112 Emergency Call Center or the 184 SABİM Call Center (Ministry of Health Contact
Center) concerning foreign patients, as well as for calls in foreign languages referred
via teleconferencing. In addition, the Call Center answers direct calls from abroad
and provides counsel, or records suggestions and complaints, as required.
The International Patient Assistance
Unit Interpreting and Call Center continues to offer twenty-four-hour service on
a shift basis with a staff of 38 and in 6 languages (German, Arabic, English,
Russian, Persian, French).
The Call Center receives approximately
20.000 calls annually. The majority of the calls are in Arabic.
